DIY: DRESSED UP PANELS

Want to start from scratch to create an affordable approach on custom treatments? Or want to spice up your plain purchased panels? Tune in.... here's a super easy way to dress them up yourself in one afternoon!

Start with purchased panels and add the ruffle yourself. There are spectacular deals to be had on simple yet beautiful store panels- but sometimes they could use a little spruce! Adding a simple ruffle is so easy and gives you an instant custom look.

All you need is:
  • 2 curtain panels
  • 3 yds of fabric for ruffle
  • Needle and thread
  • Trim
  • Fabric glue
How to make them:
Fold a 6-inch-wide piece of the ruffle fabric in half, then press flat. Pinch fabric every inch or so and stitch it to the underside edge of the panel. Use fabric glue to adhere a trim on top of the edge to give the panels a finished look. And ta da! There you have a precious and impressive custom look. Enjoy!
